For Chef Brian Kay, his culinary career has taken him on both a scholarly and cultural journey in which the novice has now become the teacher thanks to his experiences in Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States.
From Lake Tahoe to Hawaii to across the Pacific Ocean to Hong Kong, back to the islands of aloha, moving to Las Vegas, Vail, and across the U.S. to the Virgin Islands, Key West and Indiana, Chef Kay has burned some long hours in the kitchen opening and managing restaurants, not to mention logging some serious travel miles.
Now, Chef Kay has returned south to the warm Florida weather and new home at Trina Restaurant and Lounge at The Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida as executive chef.
